Årets första möte i födoämnesallerginätverket – 6 mars på Myntkabinettet i Stockholm.

Agenda

Pauline Titchener från Neogen i UK kommer att tala om testkit för allergenanalyser. (Vi skickade henne några frågor se nedan*, förhoppningsvis får vi svar på några av dem).

Anne-Li Karlsson, AllergiKompetens kommer att diskutera med er om vilka frågor man kan ställa vid konsumentreaktioner

Jennifer Protudjer från KI och tidigare på AllerGen i Kanada kommer att berätta om allergenarbete och om hennes nya projekt på KI.

  4. Threshold levels in some common allergens

 

Esther Edlundh-Rose som vi träffat tidigare kommer att uppdatera oss om vad som händer på Centrum för Allergiforskning, KI

1. What are the causes of false positive or false negative results of antibody based methods like ELISA, dipstick etc.?

a. Cross reactive antibodies?

b. Fat contents?

c. Spices?

d. Additives?

e. Processing and matrixes?

2. How can the communication between producer (allergen testing kits) – retailer – laboratory – customer be improved.

3. If a user has problems how can we get in contact with the expertise who can answer questions about the method, any number to call or email address?

4. Do you communicate updates of methods and how? For example after working with a user in validating a method for a new matrix.

5. Who bears the cost for validation of methods in new matrices? Kit producer and end user?

6. Which of your test kits for allergens have been approved by AOAC and for which matrixes

7. Are you using the AOAC guidance for the validation of commercially available ELISA allergen testing kits? If, perhaps you can tell us a little bit more about that.
